Earlier in the term we were joined by Ms Moore and our junior kapa haka students at a graduation and farewell ceremony for five of our Year 13 international students. They will be continuing their higher-level learning at various institutions throughout New Zealand in 2025. We are very proud of their journey with us and wish them all the very best as they continue their educational journey.
In addition, we farewelled our international students at the end of November with a lovely celebration at school, wishing them all well for their travel home over the summer holiday. We look forward to seeing all our returning international students at the start of next year, as our department prepares for over 50 students who will be joining our school whanau at the beginning of 2025. I would also like to officially thank Lily (Chenyu) Zhou and Jiaxuan Chen who were our international prefects this year, for their valuable contributions and for the connections they made. Congratulations to our incoming 2025 international prefects, Eve Salvador and Nate Yiu. We cannot wait to see you grow and develop in your leadership roles in 2025.
We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas.
Kendall Watson-Peach,
Director of International Students.
