Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Message

Spirit Week was celebrated in the week leading up to Athletics day, where our four houses (Akaroa, Hokianga, Kororāreka and Waitematā) came together during interval and lunchtime for a series of activities designed to build house spirit, led by House Captains.  Thank you to all the House Captains and students who ran each activity.

Athletics Day
Thank you to the Sports Department for facilitating a wonderful day of athletics for the school – it was a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents in track and field.  Results of record-breakers and house winners will be announced next week.

Student Carparking at Sancta Maria College
Students with their restricted or full licences can apply for a permit to park on school grounds. The application can be collected from the Student Centre. The permit must be visible on the windscreen or dashboard at all times.  Please let us know as soon as possible if the car or licence plate associated with the permit changes.

It is a privilege for students to be able to park on-site, and we are the only local school that permits this.

Students must:

  • Drive safely and follow the rules clearly outlined in the ‘Application to Park On-site’
  • Be on time for class and not return to their vehicles during the school day
  • Wait until 3.30pm before exiting the allotted student carpark. This is to reduce congestion due to the parent carpark at the front of the school and the buses having priority
  • They must follow the legal rules regarding no passengers whilst on a Restricted Licence.
