Kia ora koutou,
Attendance remains positive across Sancta Maria College through Week 31. Of our 1,114 students, 81% are attending regularly—more than 90% of the time. A further 16% are attending between 80% and 90%, while 3% are in the moderately or chronically absent categories.
Celebrating our strongest year group
Year 7 is our strongest-performing year group, with 90% of students attending regularly. This excellent result reflects the combined efforts of students, families and staff to make every school day count.
Our priority for improvement
Year 13 is the key area for attention. Regular attendance is 73%, 8 percentage points below the school-wide rate, and 23% of students are in the irregular attendance band. We will continue working closely with students and whānau to address barriers early and support consistent attendance. Thank you to our families for reinforcing the importance of being at school, on time, every day. Regular attendance strengthens learning, connection and wellbeing, and together we can keep improving outcomes for every learner.
