Careers Centre

It’s a really busy term in the Careers Centre with many Year 13’s applying for courses, as well as scholarships and accommodation for next year.  Mrs Rogers is also well underway with the Year 12 career interviews. This is good timing with subject selection for next year not far away.

Mrs King has may students making the most of Gateway opportunities. During the holidays we had a two-day barista course with 20 students becoming accredited to make coffee.

Many students were also out on placements including students taking part in Radio Broadcasting, Automotive, Café Service, Digital Technology, Plumbing and Electrical.

This term we have students participating in the McDonalds Gateway programme, the Aviation programme and The Warehouse retail programme.  Plus we have nearly 30 students sitting their learners license at school with the AA.

This term it’s great to see many open days on again. Please make the most of this opportunity to research what provider may be best for your child when they leave school.
