ATHLETICS COUNTIES MANUKAU ZONE

The following students achieved Top 5 placings in their events at the Counties Manukau Zone Athletics meet:

  • Mikaela Bangalan: 2nd Intermediate Girls 100m
  • Leilani Davies: 4th Senior Girls Shot Put, 4th Senior Girls Discus.
  • Cesar Garcia Soto: 2nd Junior Boys 200m, 1st Junior Boys 300m, 1st Junior Boys 800m, Junior Boys Long Jump.
  • Arnika Lam: 3rd Intermediate Girls Shot Put.
  • Thalia Lam: 1st Junior Girls Shot Put, 1st Junior Girls Discus.
  • Kiarna Makoare: 4th Intermediate Girls Discus.
  • Nathan Mlinde: 2nd Intermediate Boys Long Jump.
  • Antonie Smal: 2nd Senior Boys Shot Put, 3rd Senior Boys Discus.
  • Relay team of Kiarna Makoare, Leilani Davies, Mia Makoare and Mikaela Bangalan placed 2nd in the Senior Girls 4x100m Relay.

AQUATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Sophia Neems (Year 10) who placed 3rd in the Junior U14 Girls Individual age group at the College Sport Aquathon Championships.

 

 

 

 

 

SOUTH EASTERN ZONE SWIMMING

Well done to the following students who achieved top five placings at the South Eastern Zone Swimming meet:

  • Hayden Ling: 4th Year 8 Boys 50m Breaststroke, 5th Year 8 Boys 100m Freestyle
  • Elaina Scorringe: 5th Year 8 Girls 100m Freestyle

VOLLEYBALL SENIOR SEASON

After four jam-packed weeks of competition, the senior volleyball season came to and end for our five teams who achieved the following placings in their grades:

  • Boys Hurricanes: 2nd
  • Boys Storm: 6th
  • Boys Thunder: 5th
  • Girls Cyclones: 3rd
  • Girls Lightning: 6th

We had three teams go on to compete at the College Sport Auckland Senior Volleyball Championships tournament at Pulman Arena.
