Term 3 got off to a huge start with many of our winter sports teams involved in competitions and tournaments. A few achievements to note are:
6th Grade Rugby
This team have had tremendous success so far this season, winning all 6 games they have played to date. Their last game was a resounding 41-0 win again Macleans College.
Their coaches say that the team’s dedication to personal performance each week as well as building team culture has been a solid strategy that is paying off! We would definitely have to agree with that!
U15 Girls Football
Another team solidly performing for Sancta Maria College are the U15 Girls Football team. This team had their sights set on a spot in the final of the Counties Manukau Junior Girls grade! They were due to play Macleans College to battle it out but the game was called off as the nation was put into lockdown. We can’t wait until we can cheer this team on in person!
Boys Netball Winners!
Sancta Maria College Year 7 Boys Netball team took out the overall South Eastern Zone competition with the Year 8 Boys Netball team coming second!
Both teams have qualified for the Auckland Inter-school competition on Tuesday 31st August.
Thank you to all of our amazing coaches and managers who help with these teams. It truly wouldn’t be possible without your ongoing support. Thank you!
