Student-led activities

The students have had a busy Term 2 contributing to our school community through giving, kindness and aroha.  Here are just a few of the activities they were involved with:

  • Origami Club – a student-run club, led by junior students.  One of their projects has been 1000 paper cranes folding and praying for peace for the people of Ukraine.  They have folded 300 hundred paper cranes so far.
  • Samoan Language week – students organised a colouring-in competition, samoan group performance and music.
  • 2022 Twilight Cultural Festival – there will be a series of articles coming through in the coming weeks, so please check out our school website’s Latest News section.
  • Peer Support Group – students have been concentrating on connecting to peers and noticing any signs of peer pressure, especially positive peer pressure and then reconnecting with our school values through our thoughts and actions.

We have Cook Island and Community Language weeks coming up during August – so watch this space for more fun, student-led activities.
