Wellbeing and Pastoral Care

Youthline Leadership Connect Programme

This wellbeing leadership development group has been running all year and is sponsored by ASB. Recently, the YLC students arranged speakers for Sancta Maria students, based on feedback from an earlier survey about the needs of our students.

ASB Financial Literacy

Gill Gilder from the ASB spoke to interested students at lunchtime about financial literacy for teenagers. The interesting and informative talk was well-received by those students present.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Lauren, a counsellor, spoke to senior students about supporting mental health and wellbeing – both their own and others. It was a session that the students found useful and connected to the stress of upcoming examinations.

Flu Season

As we are in the midst of the flu season, we have noticed an increase in the number of staff and students who are unwell and unable to attend school. To ensure the health and safety of our school community, we kindly ask for your cooperation in the following:

  1. Stay home if unwell: If your child is showing any signs of the flu, such as fever, cough, sore throat, or body aches, please keep them at home until they are fully recovered. This helps prevent the spread of illness to others.
  2. Practice good hygiene: Encourage your children to wash their hands frequently with soap and water, use hand sanitizer, and cover their mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when coughing or sneezing.
  3. Stay informed: Keep an eye on school communications for any updates or additional measures we may need to implement during this flu season.

Together, we can help reduce the spread of the flu and ensure a safe environment for everyone.
