It has been a busy few weeks for our music department as they begun term 3 with the Auckland Jazz Competition final which was held on Sunday 9 August 2026 then closely followed by SUSO and KBB Music Festival.
A special congratulations to three of our Jazz Combos who were awarded silver and gold at this year’s Auckland Jazz Competition. Congratulations to:
• Blue Brioche Buns awarded Silver.
• Big Kahuna Burger and Mama’s Ramen, both awarded Gold.
A very special congratulations to our Big Band, who were awarded Platinum (the only Big Band to be awarded Platinum). KBB Festival
Congratulations to our Sancta Maria College Symphonia, Chamber Strings, Concert Band, Stage Band, and Big Band who competed in this year’s KBB Music Festival held from 10 – 14 August 2026.

A further congratulations Maia Tay-Morrison and Thomaz Cheng who were invited to play in the KBB Festival Honours Programme concert and prizegiving.
