Orienteering Rogaine

The Auckland Secondary Schools Orienteering Rogaine Championships were held near Waimauku earlier this term.  Sancta Maria College was represented by Dante Lee Choi, Finn Granich, Cameron Motion, Scarlette Wardle and Jacob Fischer amongst 400 competitors.  Special congratulations to Jacob for placing second in Auckland for the Year 7&8 Boys grade.

Year 7&8 South Eastern Zone Badminton

Last month we were represented by Noah Joseph, Kaeden Wong, Miguel Cortez and Olivia Joseph at the South Eastern Zone badminton tournament.  Olivia went through pool play undefeated, qualifying for the final. The final went right down to the wire, but Olivia was victorious, claiming the title of girls’ singles champion for 2023!  Well done, Olivia!

College Sport Auckland Gymsports Championships

Sancta Maria College had four students entered in the College Sport Auckland Gymsports Championships at Pulman Arena in June: Cara Cozo, Blake Pennington, Bree Pennington and Maxie Realon.  Maxie was awarded silver in Women’s Artistic Step 4 and Cara won gold in Women’s Artistic Step 6.  Superb results, girls.

Term 2 Underdog Basketball League

Last Wednesday night our Year 7&8 basketball teams had their final playoffs for the Term 2 Underdog Basketball League.  Our Spartans team won the A Grade grand final 42-26.  A fantastic victory!
