This term, the Kaitiaki Group members have been looking forward and planning new projects. In addition to a legacy project of replacing tiles created by foundation students being led by Kayleigh Pieters, they have been inspired by the Caring for Papatūānuku Cluster meeting held at Sancta Maria College and the links with Howick Pest Free, Ōtara Waterways and Auckland Council.
This has included looking at Auckland Council’s new recycling rules – did you know that you can no longer recycle milk bottle or drink bottle lids? Also throw away the lids that come on glass jars! It is the aim of the kaitiakitanga students to promote these new changes.
Well done on another busy and purposeful term, team!
