Principal’s Message

Sancta Maria College appreciates the ongoing support we receive from our school community – it helps to engage with you in multiple ways to better understand your needs and wants, which contribute to future improvements and developments for our school as well as the success of all our ākonga (students).

We thank you for the opportunities we have had to:

  • share relevant thinking and information through communications.
  • share and discuss evaluation findings on our priorities.
  • receive and consider feedback to enable next steps.
  • gather in multiple groups to engage in meaningful ways that are appropriate.
  • attend ‘Back to the Future’ events that provide authentic opportunities in the classroom.
  • have dialogue at school-related activities and events (sport, music, cultural).

In preparation for the development of a new school charter, the Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership Team will meet in late October to set the school’s direction for the next two years through its strategic and annual planning work.

There will be a survey for our school community that we would like you to complete.  During the holidays, you will receive a link to this survey that we would appreciate your response to.  The survey will not close until a date into the start of Term 4 and come from The Education Group.  Thank you in anticipation of your response.

On an operational matter: unfortunately, our tuck shop provider is unable to provide services to the College in Term 4.    However, we will have food available at interval for students to purchase each day.    There will be filled rolls Monday and Wednesdays, wraps Tuesdays and Thursdays and Sushi on a Friday.  These will be served from outside CG4 and students will have to bring cash as there will be no eftpos facilities.   We apologise for this inconvenience.  Our tuck shop will be up and running again in Term 1 next year with a new lunch provider.

Thank you for another wonderful term and for your continued support.

God Bless,
Louise Moore.
